"The Vaccine War": Director Vivek Agnihotri's Latest Movie on the Battle Against COVID-19
Vivek Agnihotri, the director of the critically acclaimed movie "The Kashmir Files", is back with another hard-hitting drama, "The Vaccine War".
The movie, which is set to release on August 15 in 11 languages, including Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Assamese, focuses on the ongoing battle against COVID-19 and the race to develop a vaccine to combat the deadly virus.
The movie boasts an impressive star cast, including veteran actors like Anupam Kher and Nana Patekar, as well as up-and-coming talent like Sapthami Gowda. Agnihotri himself has written the script and will direct the film.
Agnihotri has said that "The Vaccine War" is unlike any other film he has ever made under his production banner "I Am Buddha Productions". He added that science thriller is a very new genre, and it was a challenge that he had to accept. Agnihotri said that the protagonist of the movie needed to be strong, believable, and understated and that Nana Patekar was the only name that came to his mind when he was trying to cast someone whose performance could not be questioned.
In Nana Patekar's praise, Agnihotri said that the veteran actor belongs to a select group of actors who excel in every role and never compromise on either their craft or their commitment to the role they are playing.
