 Introduction

Sri Lanka's 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with grandeur and excitement, with several regional leaders from South Asian countries gracing the event with their presence. 
On February 4, 2021, Sri Lanka marked 72 years of independence from British colonial rule. The occasion was made even more special with the attendance of Foreign Ministers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Bhutan.
